Sarah Cole, FNP-BC, earned her bachelor’s degree in nursing from the University of Kentucky and her master’s degree in nursing from Vanderbilt University.

Sarah began her career as a registered nurse in labor and delivery at INOVA Fairfax Hospital. As a nurse practitioner, she has primarily worked in home-based care with Optum HouseCalls and also served patients in a COVID-19 clinic during the height of the pandemic.

She is a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners and the American Association of Family Nurse Practitioners. She is committed to providing high-quality, patient-centered care that supports the well-being of patients and their families.

Originally from the Nashville area, Sarah has also lived in Washington, D.C., and Denver, Colorado, but is proud to call Nashville home. Outside of work, she enjoys hiking, skiing, spending time with family and friends, and walking her French bulldog, Huey.

Katie Dowdall, MSN, APRN, FNP-C, is a board-certified family nurse practitioner with nearly five years working at the MNPS Health Care Centers. She has been primarily at the Bellevue (West) MNPS location since 2020. She believes in delivering individualized, compassionate, and evidence-based care to people of all ages and backgrounds.  Prior to joining the MNPS Health Centers,  she spent the previous six years working on the inpatient side of health care as a registered nurse in the University of Tennessee Medical Center’s Level 1 Trauma Center and Vanderbilt’s Adult Emergency Department/ Level 1 Trauma Center.  She received her bachelor’s degree in nursing from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville and her master’s degree in nursing from East Tennessee State University.

Katie is a Nashville native. She grew up in Franklin,  and returned to the Nashville area with her husband, Jamie, while completing her master’s degree. Katie has two little girls, Avery and Olivia, though their beloved chocolate lab, Hawk, joined the family first. She is a loyal UT Vols fan, loves country music, is a terrible cook, and looks forward to spending a few weeks on a beach every year with the people she loves most.

Weldon Saunders, BS, MSN, FNP-BC, is a board-certified family nurse practitioner. She earned her bachelor’s degree in kinesiology with a focus in pre-medicine at the University of Tennessee and her master’s degree in nursing from Vanderbilt. Before coming to the MNPS Health Care Centers, she worked in Charlottesville at the University of Virginia. She is a member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.

Weldon enjoys learning, meeting new people, cooking and painting. She and her husband, Bennett, enjoy spending time outdoors, exploring different restaurants around the area and spending time with family.
